English Lessons/English Tutoring
My hourly rate for online 1-on-1 lessons in General English or for exam preparation is £25. For English tutoring only (homework help/support for children and teens in primary or secondary education) the hourly rate starts at £21. Standard lessons are 60 or 90 minutes long, but I’m happy to consider shorter or longer lesson times where appropriate based on your personal circumstances and needs or the age of the student (young learners).
If you merely wish to practice your speaking and communicative skills, I offer one-hour conversation lessons at £18.
Prices for small-group lessons (2-3 people) and intensive courses on request.
The initial 30-min assessment, where we get to know each other, discuss your needs and objectives in some detail and assess your existing speaking, writing, reading and listening skills, is free of charge. The information I obtain from this will serve as the basis for compiling your own, personalised lesson and study plan and for finding the perfect course book (where appropriate) and study material for you.
Please note that it’s the responsibility of the student to acquire class books and workbooks, once agreed on. However, I will provide additional, self-produced worksheets and practice material – where required – free of charge.
Translation and copy-editing services

To provide a quote I need to know a few things about your piece of writing:
- length of the text
- what you need done
- when you need it done by
- a short sample of the text
Quotes for translations are based on the length of the text, the degree of difficulty, and on how quickly you need the job completed. Prices start from £0.60 per standard line. Special rates for students and repeat customers apply.
Quotes for proofreading and copy-editing are based on the extent of editing needed. Prices start from £15 per hour. Special rates for students and repeat customers apply.
